Cartridges are kind of expensive, and this printer uses it fairly quickly. But I just need it for random printing of documents and not really photos although it is very capable of it. Scans very efficiently, and very quickly, and copies quickly as well. I am pleased with it, and would recommend it. It biggest negative I can think of is how loud it is when it prints.
