He was already taking his first few steps but still not able to walk very well. Immediately when he leaned onto this toy, he took off!!! And boy the giggles and smiles coming out of him were the best to witness!! And he has been running and walking ever since! My grandchildren love this toy... but you have to supervise it closely... my oldest granddaughter enjoyed trying to step on the crocodiles as there mouths opened and shut and got her leg caught between the gators... it left quite a pinch... the other children never had a problem... but we only let them use it when an adult is in the room. ...more

She took to it right out of the box, which by the way was easy to put together. It came in two parts; the base and the handle bar. I put the handle in the ready holes in the base, put in the screws and it was ready to roll. My niece opened it around other kids and they all wanted to push it around. I really liked the small strips of buffering rubber around each tire. The clacking was loud enough to amuse her, but not so loud as to disturb anyone ...more
