Gideon's Trumpet
Customer Reviews
Editorial Reviews ... Product Description | The true story of one man's fight for justice, and how it changed the course of U.S. legal history.... Henry Fonda gives one of the finest performances of his distinguished career in this true story about an obscure, small-town man who helped change one of the countrys most important civil rights laws. Clarence Earl Gideon (Fonda), a semi-literate drifter, is arrested for breaking into a pool room and for petty theft. When he asks the court to appoint a lawyer for his defense because he...more
The Backyardigans: Tale of the Mighty Knights
Customer Reviews [1] Rating: 5 Date: 2009-11-11 Summary: Just plain cute ... We're huge Backyardigans fans in our house, and this is one of our favorite DVDs. The Mighty Knights is a wonderful adventure with the whole gang, and has great music that my son loves to dance to. The two other episodes on the DVD are also big hits with my 3-year old. Never any violence. Highly recommended DVD! ...more
[2] Rating: 4 Date: 2009-01-05 Summary: The kids loved it ... My two girls are huge Backyardigan fans. It actually ranks higher than Dora or Diego, which can get annoying really fast for me. I bought the DVD, episode unseen and they were hooked from the start. It was in November and my three year old has already decided that she wants to be Knight Uniqua and her sister to be Grabbin' Goblin for Halloween next year. The girls would have given it five stars, they attempt to sing along with all the songs and can even quote many a line, I would have given it a three star since the ...more

Customer Reviews [1] Rating: 5 Date: 2010-03-01 Summary: FANTASTIC, GREAT RESULTS ... Have been using the Sinupulse for the past 6 months it is a great alternative to those drowsy drugs and nasal sprays that give little relief and never seem to make the problems go away. Neti pots help but the relief is not very long and you have to use often like a nasal spray. Considering the $$$'s spent on doctor visits and drugs the Sinupulse is a bargain the results make it priceless. Irrigating makes a lot of sense when you consider the pollutants we breathe every day and the infections we are exposed to. The ...more
[2] Rating: 5 Date: 2010-02-26 Summary: Best natural relief for chronic sinus problems ... I have been a medical doctor for 30 years. I am also a sinus sufferer and like many of my patients I have endured the misery of allergy and sinus problems and know just how frustrating and debilitating they can be if left untreated or if they resist treatment. I have been using the SinuPulse for some time and can personally attest to just how effective it is. It not only controls allergy and sinus symptoms it targets the source of the problem. The machine itself is simple and easy to use. The pulsating rinse maximizes ...more
[3] Rating: 5 Date: 2010-03-03 Summary: Excellent Nasal Irrigator ... The SinuPulse works great. You don't have the drowning sensation you get with the store bought tea pots or the mess and it really clears the sinuses. With the tea pots you have to work so hard to irrigate and get it just right and they only hold about 6- 8 oz of solution which never seems enough. The Sinupulse holds 3-4 times as much, is quick, and makes irrigating a breeze. The pulsating rinse is soothing but really seems to get where you want it too and you can adjust it but the highest setting works best. If you ...more

Customer Reviews [1] Rating: 4 Date: 2010-02-05 Summary: Best I have heard ... I have been looking at sound bars for months. Came across this one at a store and it sounded great. Only issue was the price. While it is very good, it is not worth $499; at least to me. Found it on here at Amazon for $399 and I feel very satisfied. If you just want great sound, don't want a bunch of boxes and wires etc.. then this is for you. If however you think you have the hearing sensitivity of a bat I would encourage you to buy a system of separates. Setup was easy out of the box but there are plenty of settings ...more
[2] Rating: 4 Date: 2010-02-15 Summary: This is a great TV speaker replacement...... ... I purchased these speakers due to the horrible sound of my Samsung LCD. I did not expect this to sound like my 5.1 system in my main TV room, however it met my needs for my family room TV setup. I purchased this for the following reasons: 1) LCD TV speakers are horrible when the volume is up, 2) I have a tight corner TV setup next to a fireplace (no room for floor standing speakers), 3) Cheaper than one of my surround speakers, 4) The external amp on the subwoofer is a plus since my TV furniture doesn't have enough ...more
[3] Rating: 5 Date: 2010-02-16 Summary: CT100 trumped by it bigger brother, the CT500 ... As many know, I was a big fan of the CT100. CNET loved it and so did many other reviewers, and others noticed it as well due to its extremely low price that it was the best bang for your buck you could get at the time. That's when critics and users had a mixed result on, some liked it and some didn't with varying reviews from the user/consumer base. Even though I didn't have as many issues as others, It most likely had to do with where it was located (small room), tweaking the CT100 (which I'm famous for), and what ...more

[2] Rating: 4 Date: 2009-07-29 Summary: Bring a penny ... Reading the bike forums, I saw many recommended using CO2 inflaters at least once at home to work out any usage errors. Seeing there are inexpensive 12oz CO2 cartridges at a local sporting goods store, I bought a 5-pack to practice plus have some spares for my rides. At home I see the 12oz cartridges are slightly shorter than the 16oz cartridge that came with the inflater. Will they fit snugly enough? Nope! I screwed one in quickly but the CO2 emptied into the plastic sleeve. But there's a trick! If I drop a penny ...more
[3] Rating: 5 Date: 2008-03-26 Summary: Especially on a tour or group ride, this is the difference between a cool fix and cursing loudly ... First, a bit of advice: Always carry a hand pump in addition to your CO2 pump. The CO2 pump is really ideal for when hand pumping starts to get difficult as pressure builds in the tire, but not by itself. Some will try to shave grams of weight off their rides by not carrying a multitool and a hand pump amongst other necessities, but take it from a veteran of countless tours and avid rider of decades that it would be better to head out with a CamelBak or handlebar bag full of everything you might need from Clif Bars ...more
